Through teamwork, respect, dedication, accountability, integrity, and professionalism, MNBC strives to build a proud, self- governing, sustainable Nation in recognition of inherent rights for our Métis citizens, assisting in the delivery of services based on policy, process, and specified regulations.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a highly motivated, team-orientated, passionate, service oriented individual IT professional to join our MNBC Information Technology team as IT Network and Systems Administrator.Reporting to the IT Manager, the primary objective of the role is to contribute to the technical efficiency and evolution of MNBC’s IT Technology and Infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for the deployment, support, and maintenance of MNBC hardware, software, end-users’ work assigned technology tools, provisioned laptops and desktop devices, printers, accessories, including local area network (LAN) and communication services.The successful candidate will provide technical support and assistance to MNBC staff by answering questions, resolving service request/incident tickets, and/or escalating any concerns or issues to the IT Manager.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, support, and/or change LAN/WAN architectures
  • Design, implement, support, and/or change security architecture including firewalls, IDS, and/or IPS
  • Design, implement, support, and/or evolve network domain infrastructure(s)
  • Design, implement, support, and/or change IT Service Management practice and automation tool suites
  • Design, implement, support, and/or evolve MNBC cloud provided services, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Perform standard IT service management practices such as incident management, change enablement, and root cause analysis
  • Assist in and support incident/ticket management as required or directed
  • Install, configure, support, and maintain MNBC computer hardware, software, servers, systems, networks, printers, accessories including, but not limited to, scanners, mobile devices, and AV systems
  • Monitor and resolve any reported service requests (SR) for compute devices, systems, servers, networks, or cloud service issues, in a timely and professional manner
  • Upgrade, repair, or replace technology based on IT asset lifecycle and refresh
standards and practices
  • Provide technical support with an excellent customer service level across all MNBC sites in-person, over the phone, or via video conference
  • Knowledge sharing and/or training of MNBC staff
  • On-going contribution to the creation, update, and maintenance of all IT technical documents and user guides
  • Stay abreast of IT industry trends, technologies, and best practices; make recommendations for improvements and evolution of IT services
  • Adhere to BC and MNBC privacy laws, regulations, procedures, and policies (for example, FOIPPA)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • A 4-year degree or 2-year diploma in an Information Technology related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of in-depth knowledge and professional work experience designing, implementing, supporting, maintaining, and/or evolving network environments (LAN, WAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi)
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience and knowledge designing, implementing, migrating, supporting, maintaining, and/or administering Microsoft Cloud based services and solutions -Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Exchange, and Azure Active Directory (AAD)
  • A minimum of 3 years of knowledge and work experience with additional
operating systems (iOS, Linux, and MAC O/S) will be considered an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of knowledge and professional work experience with Switches
and Firewall Products
  • Microsoft MCSA, CompTIA A+, or MTA certification(s) will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently in
an effective and organized manner, within a complex and challenging environment
  • Comfortable working within a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous self-improvement by keeping abreast of current and evolving IT
job skills and technology advancements
  • 1-3 years providing person-to-person technical support, showcasing examples of
excellent client service skills and support
  • A minimum of 3 years of knowledge and professional work experience within the
Microsoft 365 suite of services. Enterprise implementation, migration, and/or evolution ofthese specific Cloud services
  • Strong and in-depth working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Strong working knowledge and professional work experience with Microsoft SharePoint
Enterprise
  • Relevant professional work experience in supporting an enterprise, multi-site, and
geographically dispersed environments
  • Professional work experience supporting, maintaining, and administering compute
devices such as, but not limited to, desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile hardwareincluding printers, scanners, and multi-function hardware
  • Professional work experience and knowledge supporting imaging, deployment, and
maintaining Windows operating systems running on associated computer hardware andmanagement software/tools such as MDT, GPO, SCCM, SCOM, SCSM
  • Relevant work experience resolving information technology related hardware and software
issues
  • ITIL Fundamentals, understanding service management practices, and industry
knowledge of ITSM tools
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lead, problem solve, and utilize team-building skills
  • Proven ability to utilize strong interpersonal skills to deal with others effectively
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge and/or awareness of the historical and contemporary contributions made by Métis people in
B. C.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lead, problem solve, and utilize team-building skills.
OTHER COMMENTS
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to help ensure the efficient operation of MNBC
  • There will be a need to attend meetings and events which may require work and travel outside of the normal business hours.
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license and access to reliable personal vehicle for work purposes
