Job Description

Reporting to the Editorial Lead, the Jr. Editor is responsible for non-linear finishing editing for features and television content, including visual effects compositing, beauty fixes and other opticals. Helps to ensures successful completion of projects. Organized, professional and customer-service focused, this person is flexible, responsive and a team-oriented member who is hands-on, a good problem solver, and exhibits a proactive and transparent style.Possessing a sense of urgency, the Jr. Editor demonstrates an ability to work within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, deliver accurate and quality work on schedule, and has excellent skills in building relationships and communicating effectively.Main Duties:

  • Proficient operator of DaVinci Resolve, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects.
  • Thorough understanding of editing applications and data centric practices.
  • Flexible to work around customer and studio needs; ever changing delivery schedules and enduring long hours during peak periods of business
  • Understands project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing technical needs and requirements.
  • Identifies resources needed
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on a project
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately. Record all technical and logistical information pertinent to each session
  • Works with other departments in order to foster effective communications
  • Provides outstanding professional service to projects
  • Other Duties as assigned.
What you bring:
  • 6 months experience as a finishing editor in a production environment, Post Production or VFX
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and manage competing priorities as well as meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Adept at anticipating emerging issues on projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
