Job Description

CareCorp Senior Services are a trusted agency company who provide superior healthcare, food services, housekeeping and laundry service to long-term care and assisted living facilities across BC.We are looking for a confident Payroll Coordinator with strong communication skills to join our team, working in our corporate office on Robson Street.The payroll coordinator acts as a front-line contact for approximately 600 unionized and non-unionized hourly employees.This is a permanent full-time position and offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits package.Schedule: Monday - Friday (0800-1600 or 0900-1700)Responsibilities:

  • Review daily timekeeping and prepare payroll.
  • Maintaining up-to-date payroll documentation for all current and departing employees including Records of Employment.
  • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
  • Maintain compliance with all government agencies in Canada (Federal & Provincial).
  • Providing earnings information for WorkSafe BC & ICBC claims.
  • Update taxable benefits
  • Investigate and resolve payroll related queries.
  • Create payroll, benefits and HR reports as required.
  • Review payroll processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
  • Member or progression towards designation for Canadian Payroll Association, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (preferred)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment, especially the Employment Standards Act of BC (preferred)
  • Prior experience in health care industry and union contracts (preferred)
