Job Description

META is seeking a Strategic Market Analyst to support the Market Forecast and Intelligence team within the Corporate Strategy department. The successful candidate can be based in either Vancouver, BC or Halifax, NS.The Market Intelligence and Forecasting team is a new team, with lots of growth opportunities. You will report to the head of market intelligence and be trained in a variety of disciplines within strategic analysis to ultimately work independently and write insightful market reports. Were a distributed team across North America and Europe. To stay connected we will have quarterly off-sites with the larger strategy team.Some of the typical responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze market data to identify trends, understand industry drivers and the competitive landscape
  • Create presentations for c-suite consumption and internal teams
  • Create compelling visualizations and provide meaningful insights on market data, trends and drivers
  • Develop and share best practice standards
  • Develop strong relationships with internal clients and external vendors
  • Demonstrate our tools and research capabilities to internal teams
  • Interpret complex technical data, write reports and make recommendations
  • Gather and analyze data using modern and traditional methods to collect it
Preferred qualifications
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Business acumen, problem-solving ability and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and database systems
  • Motivated and self-starting with a desire to succeed and contribute to the success of a team
  • Ability to write compelling strategic arguments and present complex data in visually appealing presentations
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
  • Exposure and strong understanding of deep tech industry challenges
  • Either technical or visual aptitude - we are looking for two new team members, and welcome skillsets that can grow together with the team.
