Alba Landscaping Ltd is looking for a reliable landscaper with a good understanding of horticultural practices & organic growing techniques.Applicants with a Red Seal in Horticulture will be preferred but will also consider applicants without.Must be passionate about plants and pay excellent attention to detail. Great communication skills are also key.Some experience in garden design would be ideal, however someone with a good attitude who can use initiative and common sense to solve problems is the most important thing.Ideally you will have experience in the following:GARDEN MAINTENANCE - mowing, edging, shrub trimming, tree pruning/shaping, watering, fertilizing etc.SOFTSCAPE GARDEN INSTALLATION – planting of perennials, annuals, trees and shrubs; levelling/grading of soil & sod removal/installation.ORGANIC FRUIT & VEGETABLE GROWING - planting, transplanting, pruning, cloning, grafting and propagation.Must be physically fit.Someone with a valid Class 5 Drivers license will be preferred.Most of the work is in the Kerrisdale/Kitsilano/Point Grey area. Occasional jobs in North Van and East Van.Initial wage is $17 - $25 per hour depending on experience. 30 – 40 hours per week.We are a young company so want to promote growth and longevity.
