Overview:WildBrain Studios is looking for an experienced Lead FX Artist to join our team!As a Lead FX Artist , you will be the creative and technical eye of the show, reviewing and supporting lighting, FX and compositing stages of the production. You will work closely with the Director and Art Director to achieve the look of the show. The ideal candidate is an experienced artist with a creative eye and the ability to guide and support their team.This role is set to begin in July 2021.We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!Responsibilities:Liaising with Directors, Supervisors and IT to design and produce the requested style of effectsCoordinating and communicating with various departments for required assets and inputReviewing workload and communicating any issues to Director and ProducerOrganizing and managing own work and files efficiently and ensuring all FX work is completed on scheduleConsulting with series directors and suggesting creative solutions that will maintain the vision of the seriesReviewing and approving the final FX scenes while keeping show continuity in mindTraining, mentoring, and motivating a team of FX ArtistsAnticipating, communicating, and troubleshooting any creative or technical issuesProviding constructive feedback and guidance to the teamQualifications:Previous experience as a FX Supervisor or Lead for a 2D animated series3 or more years’ experience as a FX Artist on an animated seriesYou have experience in Harmony FX (preferred)You have strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skillsYou have the ability to communicate and provide feedback in a professional and positive mannerYou are driven, determined, and have creative problem solving skillsYou have effective and professional communication skillsWhy WildBrainAt WildBrain Studios our teams dig into a diverse range of projects – from preschool and comedy to action-adventure, and work with international partners such as Apple, Netflix, LEGO, DreamWorks, BBC, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and more.
