Job Description

Founded in 2013, ICON Creative Studio is Canada’s largest independently owned animation entertainment company located in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver, BC, Canada. With almost 400 design, storyboarding, modelling, rigging, animation, technical animation, lighting, visual effects and compositing artists alongside creative and management teams.We are looking for an Intermediate Rigger (NOC 5241) to join our team in Suite 200 – 341 Water Street in Vancouver, BC.ABOUT THIS POSITIONLEAD RIGGERLead Riggers are responsible for overseeing at least one production as well as efficiently working with other Rigging Leads and Supervisors to ensure all shows are running smoothly.Lead Riggers are expected to have proven their technical and production knowledge and be able to effectively lead and motivate a team.Responsibilities:Delegate all tasks & notes to the Rigging team while understanding their strengths & weaknessesResponsible for Technical Oversight of the showTrain and help other riggers on the show with any technical questions or issuesWrite and maintain scripts and related documentation for the department and the showFind common rigging issues with tools and workflows and bring them up in leads’ meetingsSubmit technical revisions at the modelling stageSubmit honest and accurate performance reviewsQualifications:Have at least 3 year of related experienceImpeccable communication skillsBeing calm and strong under pressureProficient in MayaProficient in PythonFamiliar with 3d related math subjectsStrong knowledge and experience with dynamic systems, eg: nCloth and nHairProficient in GITJob Types: Full-time, ContractContract length: 36 monthsSalary: $95,000.00-$125,000.00 per yearSchedule:
