Job Description

Lead Shuttle Bus OperatorThe Lead Shuttle Operator is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and performance of the Seaspan Shuttle Bus operations in North Vancouver. The Lead Shuttle Operator will lead the shuttle operator team and coordinate the operations and maintenance of the group. This role will also operate the shuttles part time daily.Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver. #LI-MT1 #LI-ONSITEWhat youll do

  • Providing necessary coverage to the shuttle operators as needed
  • Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluations, and management of the shuttle operators
  • Coordinate all maintenance of the vehicles, including warranty items, and insurance documentation
  • Ensuring ridership statistics are captured and analyzed
  • Reviewing route stops and adjusting as necessary
  • Arranging daily cleanings of the vehicles
  • Ensuring vehicles are properly charged throughout the day
  • Coordinating maintenance of charging stations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
What youll bring
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in the transportation industry in progressively senior positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing a small vehicle fleet is an asset
  • Unrestricted Class 4 Drivers License
  • Clean driving abstract
  • Grade 12 education
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience driving a shuttle bus, or a similar sized vehicle.
  • Ability to drive for continuous period of time
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow work and safety procedures closely.
  • Frequent standing, walking, driving.
  • Extended periods of sitting, ability to bend, twist, squat, entering in and out of shuttle bus.
  • Must be able lift and manoeuvre minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lead and empower others.
  • Focused on big picture and result oriented.
  • Creative, positive and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Organized and capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced digital literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
