Overview:WildBrain is looking for an experienced Lighting/Compositing Artist, 3D to join our team!In this role, you will demonstrate a broad range of lighting abilities to conceptualize and create the overall look, attitude, and style of character and set within the production. You will work collaboratively with the lighting and compositing team to create high quality aesthetic and technical work.This role is set to begin in June 2021.We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!Responsibilities:Light shots and sequences based on rigs created by lead or supervisorWork with the lighting team to deliver production needs on time and to the expected quality standardsMeet production deadlines and maintain regular communication with leads and supervisorsEnsure and maintain the expected render time, quality and style across the productionCollaborate with other team members to improve methods, workflows and techniquesWork within the lighting and rendering pipeline and troubleshoot common technical issuesIdentify and report any issues that arise that may affect timelines or delivery schedulesQualifications:1+ years of experience in animation or film industryPrevious experience in lighting and/or compositing in episodic TV or feature film animationSolid understanding of lighting, shading, texturing, compositing, modelling, and rendering workflowsProficiency in Maya is a mustProficiency in Nuke is a mustAbility to take direction, be flexible, and embrace changeAbility to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive mannerAbility to be proactive, multitask, prioritize and manage time efficientlyAbility to work both independently and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressureAbility to adapt to multiple show stylesKnowledge in V-Ray is a benefitWhy WildBrainAt WildBrain Studios our teams dig into a diverse range of projects – from preschool and comedy to action-adventure, and work with international partners such as Apple, Netflix, LEGO, DreamWorks, BBC, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and more.
