About you: We are growing and have an opportunity for a great person with a strong passion for cooking who is looking to join our team as a Line Cook. You will have the responsibility of executing menu items in a timely manner, providing support to your teammates and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. This is a great opportunity to be a long-term member of our growing team!Responsibilities: *Food preparation: cutting, portioning, frying, baking, following recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required*Ensure all food preparation and storage procedures are followed as outlined by *Vancouver Coastal Health, to include FIFO and appropriate labeling*Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers*Other duties as requiredQualifications: *6+ months experience in a fast-paced & professional kitchen environment preferred but not necessary*A strong passion for food*A positive and professional attitude*Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines*Basic knife skills*Food Safe Level 1 an asset*Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business*The desire for growth and opportunityAt Tacofino, we believe our people are what makes us great.
