Job Description

Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery is hiring a full-time Line Cook to join our Culinary team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will assist with daily operations under the guidance of our Sous Chef in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and excited to be a part of a new venture. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, season, bake and cook menu items as directed
  • Set up mise en place before or after service
  • Oversee and collaborate for the daily brunch service
  • Prepare meals and meal kits (vacuum seal, labelling, packaging)
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Prepare daily grab and go items (i.e sandwiches)
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and properly
  • Clean and maintain station as you go
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes such as deep clean duties
  • Aid in opening/closing duties, including set up or break down
  • Organize, wash and maintain dish-ware and equipment
  • Deep clean of kitchen area to maintain hygienic work environment
  • Receive orders through thorough inspection and then proper storage
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of line experience
  • Must be able to work 5 days/week with weekend availability
  • FoodSafe level 1 certification required
  • Familiar with kitchen equipment usage
  • Attentive to detail and quality while multitasking
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Personable and level-headed
  • Collaborative, dependable and self-motivated
  • Work Permit
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
