This role is ideal for individuals who are observant, proactive, and committed to protecting people, property, and reputations. Working as part of a collaborative team, you #39;ll use investigative techniques, real-time surveillance, and strong customer service to help reduce theft and loss, while promoting a welcoming and secure environment for staff and guests. • Monitoring for suspicious behavior through both mobile and static surveillance to prevent theft and other security risks.
• Apprehending and safely detaining shoplifters when necessary, including making arrests where required, in accordance with legal and company protocols.
• Completing thorough and accurate incident reports at the end of each shift.
• Maintaining a visible security presence across multiple store locations, depending on operational needs.
• Collaborating with fellow officers and store staff, while also being comfortable working independently.
• Managing difficult or high-stress situations with professionalism and a calm, steady approach.
• Standing and remaining attentive during shifts of up to 8 hours.

Job Requirements

• Valid BC Security Worker License
• Advanced Security Training preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of security industry experience
• Minimum of 6 months of loss prevention experience
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA Level 1) or equivalent
• Must be flexible to work in multiple stores/locations
• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour period
