Job Description

Position: Maintenance Technician (Full-Time, Permanent)Location: West Point Grey, Vancouver, British ColumbiaStart Date: ASAPAbout UsTribe Management is part of the Tribe Property Technologies family. Together we are the sixth largest strata/condo and rental management company in Canada with offices in downtown Vancouver, Delta, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops, Calgary and Cambridge. Our Tribe Management division specializes in strata and rental management services. We are responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of residentialamp; mixed-use properties in our portfolio. Combining our obsession with technology and an unwavering passion for creating vibrant strata communities, we provide community management with heart. ResponsibilitiesThis role will require someone to be ONSITE Monday to Friday (9-5). Reporting to the building management team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing regular maintenance duties at a residential property which includes but is not limited to:

  • Minor appliance repair and fixture installation
  • Minor heating and plumbing repairs
  • Minor repair of electrical systems
  • Other repairs such as basic carpentry, drywall patching, and painting
  • Inspection of common areas and premises
  • Communication with contractors, the property management team and other parties, as required (i.e., email, phone, etc.)
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:
  • Two (2) years’ experience with building operational systems (i.e., drywall repairs, general maintenance, mechanical, electrical and plumbing preferred)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow direction and work without supervision
  • A professional and service-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication/computer skills; both verbal and written
  • Access to reliable vehicle transportation to aide in supplies procurement
  • Availability to work weekends/on-call rotation for after hour emergencies
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset, but not required
