Job Description

Job DescriptionYWCA Crabtree Corner Housing provides temporary housing and support to women who are pregnant or new mothers, and who are in recovery.The Manager, Crabtree Corner Housing reports to the Vice President, Housing and Violence Prevention and is responsible for the general oversight of YWCA Crabtree Corner Housing.Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Housing Department, Crabtree Corner Community and SHEWAY staff;
  • Supervise full time, part time and relief support workers including scheduling, daily Safetyline monitoring, bi-weekly one to one meetings, monthly team meetings and annual performance evaluations;
  • create and monitor annual budgets;
  • maintain and submit statistics to funders and responsible for completion of annual Balanced Scorecards;
  • Ensure that all resident information is securely and appropriately maintained and stored;
  • Support staff in responding to crisis situations;
  • Help inform the YWCA’s advocacy positions;
  • On call for emergencies;
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience;
  • Feminist analysis of issues that impact women in recovery;
  • Understanding of trama-informed practice
  • Understanding of intersectionality;
  • Understanding of harm reduction principles;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;
  • Crisis intervention skills;
  • Appropriate boundaries;
  • Willing to work with with Microsoft Outlook, Share Point, One Drive, Relias Training, ADP Workforce Now and/or Safetyline an asset;
  • Positive criminal record check clearance; and
  • Successful applicants are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, exemption requests must be supported by valid, legal documents.
