This is a person who knows how to bring teams together and make things happen.This position oversees all aspects of student experience from academics to career services, counselling and student life, to alumni activities. They will champion all servicing aspects that ensure an enjoyable, effective and healthy educational and life experience for students during their programs and beyond. The position has a dual reporting to the Chief Academic Officer and Campus Director, LaSalle College Vancouver.Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing a culture with facilitates student engagement and regular assessment of student feedback and satisfaction
  • Provides experience which engages students with the college community outside the classroom (clubs or events)
  • Leads or participates in student engagement and student success initiatives
  • Leads or participates in New Student Orientation; Ensures assessment
  • Oversee the Student Support and Wellness services including student advising, counselling services including external stakeholders
  • Leads Career Services and Portfolio show activities
  • Ensures that appropriate supports and services are in place for the international student population.
  • Provides support to events organized by other departments (new student orientation, external fairs, graduation)
  • Chairs the Strategic Enrolment Management Committee
  • Oversees the Reception staff and Bookstore
  • Creates and nurtures an environment of collaboration and teamwork, that focuses on prioritizing the student and the team spirit
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:Knowledge/Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing profile or communication, or equivalent
  • Two or more years of strong management experience and/or career counseling experience in a corporate or academic setting.
  • Knowledge of the career decision-making and placement processes.
Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a wide range of audiences.
  • Superior organizational, analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong basic computer software skills.
  • Self-starter and results orientated.
