What will your typical day look like
  • Responsible for internal venue management, your team will provide support for meetings and internal events, including space scheduling, room configurations, space setup/takedown, adhering to brand standards, and café services
  • Accountable for ensuring an exceptional, differentiated, and elevated conference or event experience
  • Ensure space conflict resolution, cost reallocations and chargebacks for catering services
  • Ensure scheduled events and experiences operate smoothly, efficiently, and effectively so that the full benefit of the space is leveraged
  • Liaison and relationship holder for our onsite food & beverage vendor, you will provide oversight for our internal Bistro/Barista and internal catering services, maintaining a strong working relationship while evaluating adherence to performance metrics
  • Oversight of food and beverage menu planning with onsite food & beverage vendor, providing menu guidance/direction
  • Oversight and management of alcohol licensing
  • Governance and process development for internal venue management
  • Manage various local vendor relationships
  • Alignment with environmental sustainability initiatives and compliance, to ensure the enhancement of energy consumption performance, biodegradable waste management, and greening programs
  • Involved with emergency response, business continuity and with the management of our health and safety programs.
  • Escalate all guest conduct, security or additional issues that potentially place attendees or building at risk.
  • Support the overall management direction and contribute to overall team success and act as a change agent in the implementation of strategic initiatives or priorities
  • Anchor all actions in a deep understanding of expectations, needs and challenges along with a solid knowledge of Business Operations processes and practices
  • Implement best practices and identify opportunities for standardization and process improvement leveraging technology
  • Develop effective working relationships with other Business Operations leaders
  • Foster continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and team building to build a high-performing team through periodic meetings, events and networks, and other initiatives
  • Ensure team member competence through formal training, on-the-job coaching, and routine and effective communication
  • Lead and inspire your team to find efficiencies and cost savings opportunities, and to work to their highest capabilities in order to provide exceptional customer service
  • Act as a role model for our Reinvented Performance Management experience by actively playing the role of a team leader and coach
  • Develop detailed resourcing and work plans, direct project teams, deliver status, meet deadlines, manage to budget, meet or exceed quality standards
  • Leverage operational reports, service level agreements, and process KPIs to ensure we meet our commitments
  • Connect the dots between strategy and execution across Business Operations
  • Proactively seeks out internal and external opportunities to build networks
  • Creates an inclusive culture that encourages and recognizes individual and team achievements to promote engagement and retention of top talent
  • Act as first level of escalation point for any disruptions within the space and guest experience
