This position is best suited for an individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment, andis able to adapt quickly. This position plays a critical role on our marketing team and will lead many diverse projectsand initiatives in the Foundation’s portfolio. Key responsibilities include developing and managing the marketingstrategy and programs; setting social media channel strategies; and implementing digital and print communications.You will manage the Marketing Team and work in close collaboration with volunteers, advisors, and externalconsultants.The Marketing Communications Manager will have a proven track record of consistently achieving goals, meetingdeadlines, possessing professional communications skills (written and verbal), developing and managing themarketing plan and budget, and cultivating and stewarding relationships with partners and community organizations.If you enjoy working with a collaborative and enthusiastic team, come join us!Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, recommend, and manage marketing campaigns for the Foundation’s initiatives, with a focus onthe Chinatown Storytelling Centre and Foo Hung Curios; Light Up Chinatown!; and the VancouverChinatown Foundation brand to align with the annual marketing planSetting and implementing the Foundation’s digital channel strategies - social media channels (FB, IG,TW, TT), email marketing, and blogOversee the Foundation’s communications and digital channels with the Marketing Coordinator (contentfor social media; updates to websites and blogs; e-newsletters; copy development; new releases; andprint collateral)Develop the overall marketing & communications strategy, and work with leadership team, advisors,consultants, and other team membersManage and coach marketing team members, and effectively work with external designers andconsultants by providing on-brand, actionable creative briefs; managing and coordinating the designand distribution of publications and collateral (print, digital and video assets); and fostering productiverelationshipsCollaborate with the Foundation’s Event Planner, Retail Manager, and Economic Revitalization team toprovide marketing assistance as neededActively grow the Foundation’s brand and digital presence (social media and email databases)Qualifications & Attributes:Accomplished marketing professional with a passion for making a difference. Ability to inspire, motivate, andmentor, and capable of managing a range of assignments and meeting multiple deadlinesSuperior writing skills with a talent for storytelling; experience in editing copy and a proficiency for attentionto detailProven track record and experience in integrated marketing programs and campaignsComfortable with ambiguity and creative problem solving to find new approaches to reaching visitors,donors, sponsors, and community partners.
