Partner Staffing is thequot;go to recruiter quot; for difficult, important, and time-sensitive positions in Western Canada.We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong experience in building systems design for a variety of sectors including institutional, government, commercial, recreational, and residential. This role is based in either our Vancouver or Kelowna office and requires proficiency in REVIT for mechanical design and drafting.RequirementsYou’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and technologists to deliver high-performance, sustainable, and code-compliant mechanical systems for a range of building types.Key Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design and construction drawings using REVIT for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to translate design concepts into constructible solutions
• Coordinate models with other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural)
• Perform site reviews and field verification for as-built conditions
• Assist with equipment selection, specification writing, and cost estimation
• Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainable design initiatives
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Attend coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, and clients

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical building systems design
• Proficiency in REVIT MEP is required; AutoCAD experience is an asset
• Strong knowledge of BC Building Code and ASHRAE standards
• Experience with a variety of building types, especially institutional and commercial
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Eligibility for AScT, EIT, or equivalent designation is an asset
