Job Description

Night ManagerProviding engaging, sincere, personalized service is one of the ways our Front Office Colleagues are turning moments into memories for our guests at Fairmont Waterfront. What you will be doing:
  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Supervise all of the nightly operations of the hotel
  • Practice and maintain Fairmont standards and procedures
  • Work with Security to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests
  • Prepare for and execute the end of day process for both the Front Office and Food & Beverage systems and restore systems for the next days operations
  • Collect and prepare all of the materials required for Accounting audits
  • Assist Night Guest Service Agent during busy periods
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
  • Passion for Guest Service and Service focused personality is essential
  • Previous experience in Night Audit/Front Office at a supervisory level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and guest requests
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Should possess or seek certification in basic First Aid
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts and split shifts
  • Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
