Job Description

About our CompanyEnoteca Bacco Importers of Fine Wine and Spirits Inc. is a fine wine and spirits import and marketing agency based in Vancouver, Canada. We work directly with internationally renowned suppliers from around the world in both the wine and spirits industries, such as Produttori del Barbaresco, Renato Ratti and Nikka Whisky. Our purpose is to share their quality products with the Canadian marketplace through storytelling and strong customer relationships. We specialize in importing products that offer uniqueness, diversity and, above all, quality.About the RoleThis position works with the Director of Operations to coordinate with suppliers and the provincial Liquor Control boards to prepare and submit purchase orders and manage shipment transports in a timely manner in order to meet our customers and company’s goals.Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for multiple international suppliers and ensure all documentation is correct
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and Liquor Control Boards to organize product pick up, consolidation, receiving and delivery to warehouses in BC and AB
  • Prepare and submit inter-provincial POs and transfer them between BC, AB and other provinces across Canada
  • Maintain up to date documentation of shipment progress, costs and delivery timelines and communicate changes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collect and confirm supplier invoices and terms match the agreed-upon terms
  • Coordinate with suppliers to complete CETA, CPTPP, and other trade agreement forms
  • Support with managing internal product database and coordinating product registrations, activation and other changes to the Liquor Control Board
  • Order samples from suppliers for new products/vintages ensuring all paperwork is accurately submitted to the custom broker
  • Update inventory reports weekly for BC and Alberta ensuring the highest attention to detail reporting vintages, FIFO, allocations.
  • Address and resolve shipment and inventory issues
  • Obtain freight quotes and review freight invoices for discrepancies or disputes
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and freight forwarders
  • Support with monthly or bi-weekly pricing and control board product registration
  • Support with other office tasks/problem solving involving inventory and logistics.
  • Support the sales and marketing team with all inventory/logistics requests
  • Other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • 1 - 2 years experience in an Operations and/or Logistics role
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills: Google Workspace, Asana, MS Excel/Google Sheets, as well as the ability to learn new software applications
  • A basic understanding of wine and spirits is an asset, but not required
  • Has or is willing to take the BC Serving It Right responsible service certification
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs boxes (or a case of wine)
