We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited is looking for a Ready-Mix Concrete Operations Manager. Reporting to the Area Manager, this position provides leadership, manages, coordinates, and optimizes the safe production and delivery of concrete for Lehigh Hansons RMC operations in Greater Vancouver. This position is also responsible for the maintenance/preventative programs for the RMC plants in their area of responsibility. This position will work closely with the Sales Manager, Customer Service Manager and the Technical Services Manager of BC Materials in the implementation of the GVA concrete business strategy.What you’ll get to do:

  • Provide leadership, expertise and manage the process for the efficient and safe delivery of RMC.
  • Provide leadership, expertise and manage the maintenance, preventative programs and special projects for mobile equipment and concrete plants.
  • Ensure full safety, environmental, and training compliance with all levels of regulators while meeting or exceeding the Regional indicators.
  • Facilitate a positive and productive working environment with key stakeholders such as managers, direct reports, workers, and unions.
  • Coach, mentor and cross train other staff members for development purposes.
Who we are looking for:
  • Post-Secondary degree in engineering, business, or logistics
  • Minimum 8 years industry experience and 3 years at a managerial level, with exposure to working with unionized environments
  • Advanced concrete, construction, and/or logistics experience required
  • Superior interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new computer software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team successfully
Work Environment:
  • Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
