They are the cornerstone of our company, supporting our vision, shaping our culture and establishing our future direction.Job DescriptionThe Operations Representative is responsible for all dispatch of door moves, follow up and invoicing on additional charges and ensuring that the manifested transport amount always matches the transport selling amount. This role also includes providing an excellent customer experience for clients and colleagues alike in every written and verbal communication, internally and externally.

  • Validate inland rate manifested is correct
  • Creating and verifying invoices pertaining to door moves
  • Secure delivery instructions for door moves from customer
  • Obtain Pick-up Numbers, dispatch work order to truckers
  • Invoice any additional charges incurred during door delivery to customer
  • Management of all required steps as they pertain to the MSC Air system
  • MSC Link to dispatch to MEDLOG-MSC door moves
  • Support any process improvements to enhance customer experience
  • Plan transfer moves for MSC full containers CY - CY
  • Repositioning empties from Terminal- Schedule allocation, secure appointments and receiving window in terminal
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in an order management role, with direct vendor interaction (Logistics or Trucking desk experience)
  • Desire to provide the best possible experience for our customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work under pressure towards deadlines.
  • Ability to access, retrieve, format data using various business systems and produce standard/nonstandard reports.
  • Process oriented with improvement mindset
  • Interest in the shipping industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in PC software applications (MS Office), and other related office systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attentive to detail
  • Bilingual (English and French), an asset
  • A proven history of building trusted relationships with both customers and sales

  • Attention to detail while working quickly and under pressure: Is able to maintain the both the quality and the productivity standards, ensuring accuracy, correctness and speed are maintained, when deadlines are tight and the pressure is on
