We are looking for an Outreach Worker on our Hastings Chaplaincy and Outreach team. The Outreach Worker position involves ministering to the men and women living in the neighborhood of the Hastings facility. The job includes providing support, care, and spiritual guidance to guests—including referrals; facilitating chapel services, devotions, and Bible studies when required; and liaising with other service agencies—often advocating on behalf of our guests. If you have strong Christian faith, 2-3 years of related work experience, and a class 5 driver’s license, this may be a great fit! You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.This is a permanent, full-time position. Hours worked between 10pm-6am include a $3/hour shift premium. The shift pattern is: Thursday and Friday (11am – 7:30pm), Saturday (10am – 6pm), Sunday and Monday – floater shifts (will be scheduled a 7.5-hour shift sometime between 5:30am – midnight each day).
