The result of this teamwork is high-performance, easy-to-implement and cost-effective 3D sensor technologies that deliver the best results in even the most challenging 3D inline inspection applications.What will you do as an Payroll AdministratorWe currently have an opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join our team. Working as part of our global Finance team and reporting to the Controller at our head office in Burnaby, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle are processed in a timely and accurate manner for our Canadian and USA entities. This position also plays a key role in the financial period-end closing process by providing support in reconciliations of accounts.Principal Dutiesamp; ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:

  • Processes bi-weekly and monthly payroll for hourly and salary employees
  • Ensures benefit deductions and taxable benefits are set up accurately
  • Perform month end functions including journal entries and payroll account reconciliations
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of taxable benefits and LTD
  • Prepare and manage WCB and WSIB calculations and filings
  • Prepare and file annual EHT reporting
  • Supports and assists employees with payroll related questions and requests
  • Perform year-end taxable benefit calculations
  • Prepare and files T4s and W2s
  • Develop working relationships with managers, and other employees in a way that facilitates positive, cooperative, and efficient interactions across the group of companies
  • Perform other payroll duties as required
What do you need to be successful
  • Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent training and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience with volume of 300+ employees
  • Background with payroll for hourly, salaried and commissioned employees
  • Current knowledge of payroll related legislation including Employment Standards, and Workers’ Compensation for US and Canada
  • Works well as part of a team and must be a supportive team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • High degree of assertiveness and proactiveness
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with PayWorks, G-Suite and NetSuite are considered an asset
