Job Description

  • Ensures right product, right place defining the Allocations and Exit strategies to support sales targets (product flow, capacity planning, consolidations) with execution support by Allocations Analysts
  • Generates business analysis and tools to track sales performance and inventory levels at channel, shop, category and size level
  • Work cross functionally with Logistics, Sourcing, Ecommerce and Retail to drive and track full margin sales and product sell through and inventory exit to meet financial targets
  • Identifies key trends and maximizes opportunities to achieve continued growth and profitability (product flow, pricing, cancelation, re-order, exit strategies)
  • Owns budget review process through Open-to-Buy model. Update open-to-buy reporting with sales, inventory and purchasing data and lead monthly review with finance and recommends adjustments
  • Create and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly forecasting for product sales and inventory to drive decisions on promotions, markdowns and sell through strategies
  • Performing in season analyses to ensure that there is enough product available to meet stretch sales targets and merchandise standards, and communicating to the appropriate teams when deviations occur
  • Define KPI’s for demand planning improvement and forecasting of inventory
  • Provide feedback at key design milestones
  • Give product feedback during design & colour reviews to ensure sales targets can be achieved
  • Competencies:
    • Minimum of 5 years as a planner in a retail company
    • Advanced Excel Skills and experience extracting large amounts of data and the ability to consolidate into simple reports that are easy to read and understand by all levels in the business
    • Detail orientated with a bit of perfectionism
    • Continually strive for improvement by identifying problems, seeking solutions and highlighting opportunities
    • Strong leadership and presentation skills to bring together multiple teams towards a shared goal
    • Model the company culture, and exemplify our shared values on a day-to-day basis
    • Positive and dependable attitude
    • Exceptional organization, time management, and communication skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, comfortable with pivot tables and lookup function
    • Advanced analytical skill and attention to detail
    • Fosters excellent cross-functional relationships
    • Self directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful
    • Database management
    • Netsuite or similar experience preferred
    • Entrepreneurial, egoless, adaptable, open to possibility and personal development
    • Great sense of humour, positive outlook, and able to effectively receive and communicate feedback in the movement
