About us: Tacofino began as a food truck in the back of a surf shop in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. We balanced surfing with creating world-inspired food with the best possible ingredients. We have since grown and have added food trucks and locations across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.We continue to grow today and welcome you to be a part of our journey.What we offer:

About you: We are growing and have an opportunity for a great person who is looking to join our team as a Prep Cook. You believe in hard work, enjoy being part of a team, and like having fun.Responsibilities
  • Basic Food Preparation onsite at the production kitchen to include: cutting, portioning roasting, scaling recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required
  • Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity for over 1 year
  • Basic food preparation ability and knife skills
  • Food Safe level one an asset
  • Able to produce recipes to specifications
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work well under pressure and within deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business
  • Ability to multitask
