Job Description

Yaggers Restaurant and Sports Bar Kitsilano is looking for a cook to join our kitchen.Opening in 2005, we started with the promise of homemade, unique comfort food served in a relaxed sports-themed restaurant & bar. With plenty of tv’s for every sports nut and a friendly customer-first attitude, we’ve prided ourselves in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that serves some of the best pub-style food in the city.WHY US

JOB SUMMARYWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
  • Preparing menu items in a timely manner
  • Helping with dishes
  • Occasional cooking when cook is busy
  • Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
  • Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Minimum 1-year previous cooking experience
  • Great teamwork skills and attention to detail
  • Positive outlook and outgoing personality
  • The ability to work alone and unsupervised from time to time
  • With restrictions being lifted and our closing times being extended, someone who is looking for more hours when we expand would be great.
Someone to work the following hours:
  • Monday 2 pm - 12 pm (Starting end of August)
  • Tuesday 6 pm - 12 pm
  • Shifts throughout the week when needed
We are currently only able to hire applicants who are already in Canada, and with current legal work authorization. Part-time hours: 20 per weekExpected Start Date: 2021-08-11Job Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: $16.00-$19.00 per hourAdditional pay:
