  • Lead new product initiatives and improvements from ideation to launch.
  • Own product development including product strategy and roadmap development.
  • Own the communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
  • Identify customer requirements, build the customer flows and user interface (with the User Experience designer), prioritize the engineering roadmap and launch new products and features.
  • Contribute to the overall product roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against development complexity, customer experience, and time to market.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision, both internally and with key external partners.
  • Establish business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators for success.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales and marketing to communicate and deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Understand how our products fit into Ooma’s product portfolio and compare to our competitors.
  • Stay up to date on industry developments and understand trends and opportunities for user growth and experience.

YOU’LL BE JUST WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IF YOU HAVE:
  • 3-5 years prior experience in Product Management. Experience in Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS) is a plus.
  • Post-secondary degree required. Degree in technical field is preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional discussions to execute on product plans and delivering results.
  • Experience in delivering products and services in a high growth environment.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product. Software experience an asset.
  • Proven track record of successful product ownership, and multiple product and feature launches simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Strengths in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
