Job Description

We are Rogue Harbour! A fresh and fierce Vancouver studio founded in 2020 by a veteran team of mobile game developers. We are on the hunt for a full-time Production and Live-Ops Assistant to jump onboard as we grow our latest title Airport BillionAir, with more to follow!If you live and breathe mobile games, are itching to get your hands into active production on growing games, and aim to leave no stone unturned in making the best experiences possible, we’re ready to hear from you!The Production and Live-Ops Assistant provides key support to the production team throughout the production pipeline, from early development to growing our live game and getting it out to players all over the world. In this role you will work closely with our Director of Product and external partners to assist the team in delivering the highest quality updates and limited time events to our players.This opportunity will immerse you in a broad spread of the production pipeline for mobile game development. If this prospect excites you, read on!KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProduction and Project Management Support

  • Play our games! Be familiar with every aspect of our titles to identify and escalate priority issues and propose improvements
  • Immerse yourself in our production pipeline and be available to support team members as requested on production tasks as they arise
  • Assist in project management on selected titles in development including task tracking with the team and taking meeting notes
  • Assist the Director of Product in the collection and collation of data for periodic reports on game performance
  • Own Localization for our games, including collating and preparing text, communicating with translation contractors, implementing translated text, and verifying it in game
Live-Ops
  • Assist in the creation of special in-game campaigns for increasing player engagement and monetization, under instruction of the Director of Product
  • Create and deploy live-ops campaigns to communicate limited time event and release information to players using deltaDNA and Playfab messaging tools
  • Contribute to the documentation of processes, best practices and templates for your work
  • Manage a production calendar accessed by the team and external partners with key dates, updates and scheduled events
  • Help the team ensure completeness, quality and timeliness of live-ops events
QA Support
  • Reproduce and accurately report on bugs in our products to allow the development team to act on fixes efficiently
  • Enter, track and verify resolution of bug reports in our project management software, Jira
  • Work with the Player Experience Coordinator to troubleshoot player issues and communicate known bugs and workarounds or resolutions
  • Assist in feature and bug testing for releases, as directed by the development team in accordance with the build test plan
  • Monitor, assess and report on product quality. Provide input on ways to improve the quality of our games and internal tools
YOU WILL BRING
  • At least 2 years of related experience, preferably at a game company. Tell us how your experience translates into the responsibilities of this role!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey issues efficiently and effectively to your peers
  • Proficiency with Google business suite products, and strong skills with Google Sheets and/or other spreadsheet software
  • Familiarity with live-ops platforms and messaging services. Experience with deltaDNA and Playfab a strong plus
  • Basic proficiency with the Unity game engine and Adobe photoshop, or are comfortable to learn new programs and processes quickly and independently
  • Meticulous attention to detail especially when doing familiar tasks
  • A strong work ethic and take pride in doing all aspects of your job well

  • A critical eye for your own work and the work of others, and the ability to provide constructive feedback and opinions
