We support our commitment by fostering an inclusive workplace which is fair, equitable, supportive, welcoming and respectful, allowing us to continue to transform health outcomes.JOB SUMMARYThe Program Coordinator, Cure and Care, coordinates the administrative activities and operations of projects in the Cure and Care programs; monitors progress; and supports evaluation of projects. This role contributes to efforts in neuro-recovery, best practice guidelines implementation, and health and wellness initiatives for people with spinal cord injuries.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist teams with project planning and proactively manage and monitor projects to ensure appropriate progress per set timelines, adherence to budgets, adherence to funding related requirements, and provide accurate reporting;
  • Track the research activities for reporting to funding agencies and donors and maintain and update relevant databases;
  • Prepare reports, including proofreading and correction of errors;
  • Support the Research and Clinical teams with meeting management, including scheduling, preparing background material for meetings and take notes during meeting and event coordination including cost projections, catering, travel and accommodation arrangements for external meetings;
  • Liaise with Praxis team members to organize conference calls with external collaborators;
  • Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings;
  • Manage the reimbursement of expenses for external and internal stakeholders, as a result of meeting or event attendance;
  • Assist with preparing financial statements in the form of invoices and credit card reconciliation;
  • Prepare, review, track and file contracts for the Cure and Care programs;
  • Conduct literature searches and obtain relevant journal articles;
  • Review the literature and synthesize the evidence;
  • Coordinate study ethics application, submission and renewal;
  • Provide support in abstract and manuscript preparation and submission;
  • Support the team with requests for funding (e.g. prepare application forms, oversee the application process, timelines and review); and
  • Provide other duties as requested and general administrative support.
QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have:
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or graduation from a technical college or institute
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with editing and publication process
  • Experience with ethics application process
  • Experience working with multi-centre projects, and with researchers, clinicians, clinical researchers, and working with individuals living with various health conditions
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Experience in a research setting an asset
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and oral
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, high degree of initiative
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to prepare reports, and cater presentations for diverse audiences
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse community of stakeholders
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
