Operations now span across North America, with locations throughout Canada and the United States with new markets that include Boston, Los Angeles, and Washington DC.POSITION OVERVIEWThe ‘Programs and Training Coordinator (Training Focus) position is all about supporting our seasonal employees in their roles by giving them the tools they need to succeed! This role is part problem-solving, part organizing, and part leading by example with your excellent trainer abilities. Being comfortable leading trainings to groups of young adults, mentoring the trainers, and providing feedback is a must. Understanding learning techniques and organizing the best way to present our methods is a large part of what we are looking for.You will be part of the ‘small yet mighty Programs & Training (P&T) team, where you will support the development and implementation of programming and training initiatives for Pedalheads. You will support the ongoing development, delivery and maintenance of training programs and materials with a special focus on our Pedalheads Bike & Trail training programs. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned training programs with trainers and regional teams, you will work to ensure a successful learning experience for all.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESProgrammingSupports P&T Management in implementation of new programming initiatives company-wide, ensuring the training team is equipped to execute changes accordinglySupports the Manager, Programs & Training with assigned programming projectsTrainingSupports Assistant Manager, Programs & Training with organizing the facilitation of Train-the-Trainer sessions for Instructor trainings for Pedalheads Bike and TrailIn conjunction with Regional Managers and Assistant Manager, Programs & Training, assists with hiring trainers, develops, and administers training schedules for all regions and ensures appropriate locations are being usedMentors trainers, oversees quality of training sessions, and provides feedbackAssists in development and facilitation of Site Leader TrainingEnsures training is delivered consistently across regions by working with regional teams and trainersEnsures accurate completion of attendance and payroll reporting for all training activities in collaboration with regional hiring and training teamsSupports the Manager, Programs & Training in the development and implementation of new and revised training initiatives:Bike, Trail, & Online Training ContentBike, Trail, & In-Person Training ContentAssists with the facilitation and administration of existing training initiatives, and updates according to new program initiativesWorks with Programs & Training Management to prepare proposals for training changes and new initiatives based on observations and employee feedbackCOMPETENCIESEducator – You love to teach! These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.Qualifications include:Post-secondary education in Sports Recreation, Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in facilitating training in a small to medium-sized organization for at least 2 yearsExperience working in childrens programming, recreation, or summer camp industry for at least 2 yearsUnderstands adult learning principles, instructional design principles, and/or various learning approachesExperience with MS Office Suite or a similar productAbility to travel within North America is a mustThis role can be based in any of our current operating Pedalheads cities, and requires a valid drivers licenseAssets (but not required) include:Previous experience as a Pedalheads Trainer or Site ManagerBilingual (English/French)OUR CULTUREAt Pedalheads, we are a collaborative team and we seek feedback and buy-in whenever it is possible.
