Job Description

Novell Design Build is an industry-leading Design Build firm based in Vancouver, BC — providing full custom design services and professional licensed construction. We design+build custom new homes, major renovations and laneways across Metro Vancouver.We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team.   • Schedule Management - accountable to the schedule and driving progress of all activities through the construction workflow - on schedule
  • Budget Management - accountable to budget creation, continual tracking and management of all cost activities through the construction workflow - on budget
  • Client Management - bring the client along the way at every step of construction, ensuring their endorsement of all project activities through the construction workflow - acting as the first point of contact & chair of biweekly meetings
Additional Responsibilities
  • Design-Build Coordination - delegate and manage teammates
  • Vendor Management - negotiate vendor subcontracts, monitor and certify progress by others
  • Purchasing - of goods and services relative to the scope of work
  • Quality Control - play a role in receiving and verification of goods and services
Required Experience & Ability
  • Technical Diploma or relevant post-secondary Degree
  • Minimum 8 years of applicable job experience
  • Minimum 2 years in residential construction
  • Reliable personal transportation and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Exceptional English written and oral communication skills
Required Skillset
  • Trained in the theories and practice of Project Management, with demonstrated successes in work experience.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills, with a firm understanding of how to navigate challenges while juggling priorities, managing risk and stakeholder priorities
  • Strong organizational skills - able to work in a fast-paced environment independently, multitask and prioritize
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with an aptitude for anticipating the needs of others.
  • Proficient at schedule and budget management
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprint drawings, specifications & other construction documents
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively within a team.
  • Safeguards the company - works pro-actively to avoid errors, and thoughtfully navigates the project path ahead with the companys projections in mind
  • Business-oriented with an understanding of bringing value to clients through efficient and profitable means
The ideal candidate will have the following personal attributes:
  • Buildertrend experience is an asset, or similar project management software
  • Residential construction knowledge - VBBL /BC Building Code knowledge is an asset
  • Passionate about the craft and process of homebuilding, and driven to see successful completion of works
  • Willingness to learn and be challenged with an eye towards continual improvement
  • A strong work ethic with an attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per yearBenefits:
