Location - Kelowna, Vancouver, Seattle or Remote from Canada, Washington or California stateThe OpportunityYou will be working on a variety of mobile game titles, including the award winning AdVenture Capitalist and AdVenture Communist. You’ll be a key member of the production team and will work alongside developers and game designers, testing games at various stages of development. If you are interested in testing a variety of games and learning more about mobile game development, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!A QA Tester’s ImpactPlans and executes test activities including creating test plans, testing new content, logging/prioritizing bugs, and assisting with bug triagesCollaborates with other QA team members, developers, producers and project managers - including reviewing test plans and strategies, escalation of risks, and reporting on test plan progressionWorks on projects at various stages of development, from pre-production through to live operationsProvides regular updates to Senior QA, QA Manager, Producers and Project Managers for the respective productsMonitors Player Support feedback channels to actively identify and escalate service issues; and works with the Player Experience (PX) team to ensure bug-related community feedback is investigated and addressedAssists Senior QA with release and testing process functionsWeighs-in on feature design and playtest prototypes for new games and featuresAdvocates for a culture of shared quality ownership throughout the studio and project teamsInspires teamwork and collaborationYour Track Record Includes2+ years experience in a QA role, preferably in digital/mobile gamingA passion for user experience and making great mobile productsKnowledge of bug entry and collaboration tools, including JIRA and ConfluenceExperience with G Suite tools including Sheets, Docs, Hangouts, etc.Knowledge of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-endBONUS POINTS FOR: Experience using Version Control Systems (Git, SVN, etc.), Unity, automated testing tools, Android Studio, XCode, Google Play Console and iTunes Connect and experience shipping mobile titlesHyper Hippo Welcomes Everyone to Apply!Hyper Hippo is an equal opportunity employer and we celebrate every single person and what makes them unique.
