This 110-year old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of approximately $58 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams: the 15 day annual summer Fair which averages 800,000 guests each year, Playland amusement park which welcomes 375,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, year-round events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance. The Recruiter will join the PNE’s People & Culture Department and will work under the direction of the Manager, People & Culture. The position will perform full-cycle recruitment for vacancies at all levels of the organization. They will enjoy the challenge of managing multiple recruits and assisting with the mass hiring of 1300+ seasonal team members. They will work closely with hiring managers from all departments to create recruitment strategies, timelines and assessments, and provide recommendations for improved recruitment practices that support the goals of the People & Culture Team and the organization.Why join our Team

What will you do this year
  • Perform full-cycle recruitment for a variety of management, full-time, and part-time roles
  • Assist with mass hiring with approximately 1300 seasonal staff for Playland and the Fair.
  • Create job postings, phone screen templates and interview forms for a variety of job vacancies.
  • Prepare new hire paperwork, documents, and electronic employee files.
  • Update and maintain information in our applicant tracking system (iCIMs).
  • Document recruitment and other People & Culture related procedures as needed.
  • Utilize recruitment best practices to source, screen and hire qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and advise on effective recruitment strategies.
  • Support the People & Culture Team with all recruitment-related administrative tasks.
  • Assist with delivery and coordination of new hire orientations for all employee groups.
  • Provide administrative support for seasonal employee performance appraisals.
  • Undertake a variety of HR projects as directed by Manager, People & Culture.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.
What else
  • Minimum of 1-2 years recruitment experience.
  • Previous experience working for a recruitment agency or performing high-volume recruitment is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and applicant tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple recruitment deadlines.
  • Discretion to deal with confidential and private information.
  • Available to work extended hours during peak periods when required.
  • Candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check.
