Job Description

Easy Nail construction has contracted for a number of projects with Northland Properties Corporation and we are currently looking for RENOVATIONS RESTUARANT SITE SUPERVISORThis role will report to the Project Manager. Duties include taking the lead on all on-site activities ensuring the completion of each project on time and on budget. This role is the leader of a mobile team conducting renovations across the country and will work collaboratively shoulder to shoulder with other sites, procurement, operations, the construction division and the design division.Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create daily, weekly and monthly construction schedules that achieves the project completion timeline within labor budget parameters.
  • Assists the PM in creating scopes of work and trade lists to complete the scopes.
  • Supervising, coordinating and scheduling of the day to day activities of each project.
  • Enforces best building practices with a hands-on tools approach.
  • Leads, teaches and mentors the crew to achieve high excellence in performance and quality.
  • Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by hiring, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Manages site trades and sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, selecting, monitoring and controlling performance of all site works.
  • Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures for weekly labour, equipment and materials; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Accomplishes project results by calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
  • Achieves construction quality standards by conducting daily inspections and taking corrective action as required.
  • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and quality.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, willingness to encourage co-workers and act as an ambassador for our companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and set priorities with exercise in flexibility where necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and construction documentation.
  • Understanding of all safety procedures and recognition of hazards and to proactively eliminate risk to employees and site.
  • Literate in the use of computer and Microsoft Office applications.
