Is this the experience you’re looking for If so, read on to find out more about the role.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete daily safety checks of all park attractions, and report repair or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
• Replace and fix woodwork throughout the park as directed (benches, handrails, tables, decking etc.)
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
• Perform light plumbing duties, repairing faucets, toilets, and irrigation lines.
• Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
• Assist and facilitate the set up of special events and activities.
• Support with snow removal in the winter months.
• Complete projects within the specific time constraints given.
• Occasionally assist with off-site requests.
• Support and follow the “Capilano Standards” for inventory and waste management.
• Be alert to hazards and immediately report safety issues and concerns.
• Ensure appropriate personal protective equipmentamp; clothing is worn at all times.
• Know and follow the health and safety requirementsamp; regulations of Capilano.
• Encourage fellow TMs to follow the health and safety requirementsamp; regulations.

Qualifications:

• One (1) year of general labor, or related trades experience.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of team members.
• Strong guest service orientation.
• First Aid level 1 or higher, a strong asset.
