Job Description

Carpenter – Single Family ConstructionWe are looking for a 3rd Year or Senior Carpenter who wants growth opportunities, to excel in his/her career in building high quality Vancouver homes. Solaris Properties is a residential construction company looking for a highly skilled forming, framing carpenters with experience working on high end custom homes.You will be involved in all aspects of carpentry work including forming, framing, exterior cladding, and interior finish carpentry. Our company also offers future site superintendent and project management roles for carpenters who demonstrate loyalty, and work their way up through the ranks.Requirements:

  • 3rd Year through ITA or Red Seal (or other) Carpentry Ticket
  • A good knowledge of residential construction
  • Read house plans - Architectural and ID
  • Build foundations, walls and roof framing
  • Install windows and flashings
  • Install siding of different materials
  • Installing trim, doors, stairs, moldings, finishes and hardware is an asset.
  • Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes
  • Repairing and renovating wooden structures
  • Motivate and educate less experienced carpenters and helpers.
  • Excellent at speaking English

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $25.00-$45.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
Experience:
  • Customer relationship management: 1 year (preferred)
  • residential construction: 5 years (preferred)
Language:
  • Fluent English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • BC Drivers License and Vehicle (required)
