Job Description

We are hiring sales associates for our retail bakery located in the heart of Kitsilano, Vancouver. The ideal applicant is someone who is an enthusiastic and upbeat team player with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a high level of customer service above and beyond the industry standard.
  • Provide an efficient, accurate, and energetic service at the sales counter by positively engaging with customers.
  • Processing sales using an electronic cash register or electronic point of sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain store appearance and organization, including regularly assigned cleaning duties.
  • Effectively communicate all store needs to store management.
  • Assist management with completely tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the store.
  • Performing all additional duties as assigned by store management.
Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Outgoing personality with strong relationship development skills.
  • Ability to succeed in providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a desire to succeed and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Fluency in both oral and written English.
  • Previous experience in a coffee shop, bakery, or restaurant is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must legally be able to work in Canada.
Physical Requirements:
  • This role requires constant standing, bending and reaching. Frequent lifting of 5-20 pounds
Preference will be given to applicants with open availability during the week. Must be able to work at least one weekend shift.
