This is a dynamic position that requires a positive, go-getter attitude within a fast-changing environment. We are looking for a candidate that has a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, excels working in a team environment, and is adaptable. This is a tremendous opportunity to enter a dynamic and growing industry with room for advancement. The successful candidate will be based in Vancouver, British Columbia.Sales Manager Role:Reporting directly to the Founding Director of West Coast Gifts, the Sales Manager will be accountable for implementing new sales structures, managing the West Coast Gifts Sales team, and overseeing major national and provincial accounts. They will refine current sales management systems and continue to develop system structures to accommodate domestic and international Company growth. They will be responsible for generation of revenue and achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets. In addition, the Sales Manager will identify business development opportunities including, new channel partners, new product introductions, promotional programming, category management, pricing and placement. Occasional overnight travel is required in not more than 15% of the time.In this role you will:

  • Be a part of the West Coast Gifts Leadership Team and help to develop achievable strategy.
  • Generate sales strategies to recruit and expand sales accounts, using existing and potential customer networks and execute said strategies.
  • Manage existing customer relationships to maintain and grow current business.
  • Manage and coach Sales staff, implement sales incentive programs and goals to increase individual and team performance.
  • Align sales account targets to company goals and track progress to achieve company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to create new, as well as enhanced product lines and opportunities.
  • Represent West Coast Gifts at trade shows and events.
  • Develop, forecast and monitor budget and utilize operational resources.
  • Manage provincial product calls, including timely submission of all required applications for new product opportunities.
  • Listen to customer needs and professionally and effectively communicate solutions to existing customers and new prospects through presentations, written proposals, RFP responses and regular business correspondence.
  • Seek out and sell West Coast Gift products to appropriate retail and wholesale partners.
  • Monitor & analyze sales metrics and analyze sales reports and recommend appropriate product assortment to customers.
Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with developing and implementing national and international marketing and sales strategies.
  • Experience with CRM systems, account management, packaging/merchandising. SAP experience is preferable.
  • 5+ Years of management experience.
  • 10+ Years of professional sales experience in business-to-business sales and preferably, national account experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and superior presentation skills.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Highly self-motivated and customer focused.
  • Flexible, adaptable and with the ability to maintain a positive go-getter attitude within a fast-changing environment.
  • Results-oriented, process driven leader.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on cross-function projects and assignments, excels working in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite, including advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Knowledge and passion for the cannabis industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
