As a Scale Operator/Admin you will greet our customer and provide direction on product location, yard policies, generate accurate point-of-sale information and liaise with the depot management team on inventory and customer issues. What You Will Get to Do:
  • Generate scale tickets for loaded vehicles in accordance with established policy
  • Enter Purchase Orders, addresses, vehicle, customer, and other required information accurately
  • Prepare end of day reports, pre-authorize credit cards and balance debit/credit purchases
  • Notify customers coming into the yard of safety hazards or yard policies where applicable
  • Communicate general product descriptions, availability, and location to customers upon request
  • Liaise with yard crews, supervision and management when necessary regarding any Yard, Inventory or Customer concerns
  • Notify Dispatch of material unavailability or any issues regarding orders
  • Answer phones and offer assistance to drop-in customers
  • Other admin duties as needed
Who We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 yr. degree preferred
  • Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situations
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work extended hours and irregular schedules
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand and lift boxes occasionally
