Job Description

Commissionaires BC is hiring for a Security Supervisor to work at a high security government site in downtown Vancouver.Shift times:

  • Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1600
  • Saturdayamp; Sunday, 0800 - 1600
Payrate:
  • From $24.25 per hour
Due to the nature of the site, you will be required to obtain a Secret Clearance from the Canadian Government.Your Must Haves …
  • Valid BC Security License
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
    • Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years
    • Able to provide address and employment history for the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps
    • Hold Canadian citizenship or PR
  • 1-2 years experience in a Supervisor role.
  • Basic First Aid/OFA 1
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
  • Strong administrative skills
Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Provide first class customer service to contractors and clients whilst based at front desk
  • Access control
  • Contractor escorting
  • Interior patrols
  • First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
  • Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date Post Orders and Site Safety, Risk, and Quality Assurance assessments
  • Submit reports, time sheets, and staff evaluations
  • Oversee training and scheduling of Commissionaires
  • Leading through empowerment, and monitoring staff morale, discipline, and progress
  • Ensure team maintains a professional standard of conduct, dress and deportment
