Senior Business Systems Consultant — Remote We have two open positions for our client in the insurance industry for a 9-month contract within the Enterprise Data Governance Office, supporting projects related to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) Guideline E-21 on operational risk management and resiliency. This role requires strong expertise in business systems consulting for financial institutions and deep knowledge of OSFI E-21 compliance. The contract will run from the hire date until December 31, 2025.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $72 to $82 per hour.• Incorporated Business Rate: $84 to $94 per hour.• 9-month contract.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.• Enjoy the flexibility of remote work.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Serve as a subject matter expert on OSFI E-21 requirements and best practices for operational risk management in financial institutions.• Analyze current business data, processes, and systems to identify gaps in E-21 compliance.• Participate in the design and implementation of solutions to enhance operational risk management frameworks in alignment with E-21.• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, risk, compliance, and business units.• Develop process documentation and RACI diagrams.• Work closely with members of the Enterprise Data Governance Office, Information Owners, and Stewards within business units.• Capture critical data elements’ metadata, lineage, and business rules.• Provide guidance and training to team members, Information Owners, Information Stewards, and other stakeholders on E-21 requirements.What you will need to succeed:• Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., CDMP, DGCA).• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or PMP preferred.• 7+ years of experience in business systems consulting for financial institutions.• Deep knowledge of OSFI E-21 guidelines and information management and operational risk management practices.• Strong knowledge and experience using business analysis principles and industry best practices (e.g., business process modeling, conceptual data modeling).• Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).• Understanding of metadata management and data quality principles.• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).• Experience in change management and process improvement methodologies.• Experience with risk management software and tools.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.• Strong leadership skills with the ability to bring opinions, comments, and thoughts forward.• Ability to drive discussions and manage business meetings to meet objectives.• Highly developed analysis, research, organization, and problem-solving skills.• Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability Clearance (ERC) required.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
