Job Description

Job Title: Senior Java Developer Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) Duration/Term: Long Term ContractJob Summary:We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Java Developer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives on writing high-quality, modular, and secure code, and is committed to contributing to Agile teams focused on delivering impactful software solutions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage project priorities, deadlines, and technical deliverables
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies: daily standups, backlog grooming, story pointing, retrospectives
  • Create and deploy new technologies and enhancements that optimize system performance
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices and development standards
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and work closely with peers across technology teams
Qualifications:
  • 9 11 years of professional experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in OOP, RESTful APIs, and JSON/SOAP interfaces
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and tools like Jenkins
  • Experience with cloud-native development, especially PCF or AWS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
