Job Description

BREAKFAST SERVER WANTEDCapo and the Spritz at the OPUS hotel is looking for a positive, engaging and motivatedBreakfast Server to join our team!Capo and the Spritz is an Italian Pizzeria and Cocktail Bar located in the heart of Yaletown.Attached to the OPUS Hotel, we believe that to provide an authentic hospitality experience, every role in our restaurant should be customer-focused and work together as a team.This role would be full time mornings, serving the in-house breakfast dining, as well as RoomService for the Opus Hotel guests.Duties and responsibilities include;

  • Able to make all types of Coffee beverages and work autonomously when needed.
  • Co-ordinate with the Hotel Front desk to ring in and deliver Room Service to our Hotel guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Be confident in their food knowledge and be able to demonstrate this to each guest.
  • Makes suggestions and leads the guest to the best option for them.
  • Offer consistent and individual authentic service to each guest to create elevated service.
  • As needed, other duties designated by the management team
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Well presented, genuine warmth and care for the guest experience
  • Able to communicate well with wide variety of people, adapts tone, builds rapport
  • Outgoing and confident, comfortable promoting menu items
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have a strong initiative
  • Team player, works productively with others
  • Strong customer service skills – able to exceed guest expectations
Position Requirements:
  • Full Time: *must be available for 5 morning shifts per week (Part time will be considered for the right candidates)
  • Flexible availability, including weekends.
  • Barista training is a bonus, but not essential. Will provide training for the right candidate
  • Serving It Right essential
  • Must hold a Valid SIN number and be legally allowed to work in Canada.
