We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at Mexico (Toluca), Canada (Vancouver, Toronto) and multiple cities within US and many other key locations around the UK, India, China, Hong Kong.Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2021 and beyond, we are currently seeking a WPB (Wealth and Personal Banking) IT Service Manager to join HSBC TechnologyResponsibilities:We are looking for driven individuals that will support and contribute to our Digital IT (online, mobile, and public website) systems.As a service manager, you will be working to ensure our system’s ongoing availability and quality. You will work with local and global teams to define a 24x7 support process, and help ensure our service has proper processes and controls in place. You will drive Technology Service Management disciplines into the day-to-day activities of the Technology teams, ensuring HSBC best practice is followed during all phases of the product lifecycle (with significant focus on the run phase).You will be at the forefront of managing incidents, liaising between business users and the IT support team to come to a resolution, and coordinating production releases. This will require handling incidents in and out of regular work hours. Equally important to addressing incidents, is to be proactive to determine measures that can be taken to avoid future incidents.We expect you to have strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills. We strongly value your obsession to continually improve the system, and to troubleshoot and solve complex problems on behalf of HSBC's customers and staff.QualificationsRequirements:Must Have SkillsExperienced in application monitoring tools – Splunk, AppDynamics, BSMExperienced in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube, NexusExperienced in Agile Methodologies (Scrum / Kanban / SAFE) and Tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack)Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Proficient knowledge of Digital Web, Mobile & Cloud Technology and ability to navigate through underpinning integration layer and back end fulfilment systems including but not limited to various databases, mainframe and iSeries platforms.Awareness of Web and Mobile technology architecture / frameworks, relevant under pinning platforms, knowledge of API’s and containerized application management with exposure to Cloud, Mulesoft, and Kubernetes.Awareness of web development languages – Java, Angular, NodeAwareness of HSBC online banking, mobile, and public website.Ability to effectively communicate to both a business and IT audience.You’ll achieve more when you join HSBCHSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
