Site Lead - Mat CollectiveType: Contractor, Part TimeHours: 3-8hrs/weekPositions available: 3Please Apply via link: https://forms.gle/FrJFFFuzixZ7N4bEAPosition Details: Mat Collective specializes in outdoor recreation- particularly large outdoor yoga classes. Many locations are small and teachers can do check-ins alone, but some of our popular experiences can clear 100-300 participants in a class. We do not know the scale we are coming back to after Covid-19 but the projections for our Canada Place class are 300/class.Our wireless check in process is done using apps on our devices.This year we are trialing tablets- which will have three functions - the booking app for check ins, Mailing List Signup, and a POS.The booking software can be added to your phone and most teachers and staff at MC choose to have this on their phones.Participants sign up online and join our booking system, signing the participation waivers in advance, and when they arrive at the class they share their name- Check-in is as easy as hitting a button.Organized and Prepared for:

  • On site operations binder (copies of permits, safety numbers, etc)
  • Ensure sufficient backups (paper copies of important forms).
  • Charge and ensure maintenance of the MC check in tablets and applications. Immediately report issues.
  • Holding onto and transporting tablets, signage, and other important documents and paperwork.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a good on site experience for customers, partners, and passerbys.
  • Bring tablets, paperwork, and signage (if applicable) to and from the site.
  • Secure space (check for hazards) and set up signs.
  • Greet participants, check them in, and make them feel welcome and comfortable with what to expect.
  • Learn our policies and calmly adapt and exercise safe and responsible judgment for on site circumstances (e.g. park board needing to check permits, teacher emergency causing a delay, a cranky passerby, calling for support or first aid, turning down an intoxicated participant).
  • Explaining and delegating to support staff and volunteers to fit circumstances
  • Social Media (taking photos and posting stories/reels during classes)
What we look for:
  • Paid or unpaid experience in a role where you were the highest level responsible person and had to handle decision making and delegation.

  • Pre-season training and then 14 weeks from June 1-August 31 2022.
