Job Description

Tenth Church is a vibrant multi-ethnic, multi-generational, and multi-site church located in the heart of Vancouver. Our vision is to be a community where people of all different backgrounds can discover Christ, experience spiritual transformation and seek justice for all.We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our team at our East Van location. As Site Pastor, you will lead staff, volunteers, and congregants to advance our vision in East Vancouver.Ways You Will Contribute:

  • Providing strategic leadership for the health and growth of the site, while serving as “resident” pastor
  • Fostering and maintaining an atmosphere that leads to authentic worship, promoting personal spiritual formation, emotional health, and meaningful connections to those beyond the church community
  • Creating effective systems to connect people to the congregation/community and to one another: life groups, programs, events, etc.
  • Overseeing and leading the execution of the strategic plan (annual priorities) and initiatives, including the annual budget at the site level and leadership team level
  • Leading site staff, while providing peer-to-peer support to other Site Pastors and Ministry Leads.
What You Bring:As the successful candidate, you will possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree (M.Div. preferred), along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership, developing emerging leaders, spiritual formation, outreach, and discipleship
  • Possess an authentic, growing faith in Christ and spiritual maturity
  • Ability to personally offer pastoral care and mobilize others for pastoral care ministry
  • Possess the ability to engage in effective conflict resolution
  • Relational and outgoing, with a passion for connecting with people
  • Connects well and has relationships with people who do not yet know Christ or have little to no experience with the church.
