Unity One Security is hiring for a social media content creator and blogger to help build a social media presence.Your role will be 100% creating content with the specific purpose of stimulating conversation in metro Vancouver and tri cities.All interested applicants must share links to your social media accounts for reference. Instagram and TikTok links are a requirement, but you are also welcomed to share links to your YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, blog, etc. if you have them. Your social media accounts will serve as a portfolio for your application, demonstrating your passion, creativity and experience in creating current and topical social media content. This will begin as a part-time position however, based on performance, can easily grow into a full-time engagement. Candidates must be available to work to between 8 to 16 hours bi weeklyResponsibilitiesDevelop visually compelling and socially relevant, debate-stimulating content about current affairs with in security industry.Will need to travel to our current sites from time to time to take pictures of staff for content.Post compelling content across all of our multiple social media accounts, with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, Linkedin, Facebook, and our website, utilizing unique captions, trending hashtags and other methods that attract engagement, discoverability and loyal followers.Be current and stay up to date on the latest social media platforms, apps & updates.Be willing to use and learn new emerging platforms and teach/train our supporting staff and journalists in social media, marketing & styling techniques and workshops.Also will need to write small blogs for the website and other platforms regarding security and security related industry thingsUtilize social media best practices, including but not limited to implementing a well-researched hashtag strategy for your posts.Remain open to constructive feedback that may require adjusting content aesthetic, layouts, storyboards, pitches or pre-created content.RequirementsA passion and interest in current affairs globally, humanity, political science, journalism and social media is a must and willingness to learn about security industry.A strong understanding of social media and a willingness to learn and adopt proven and new marketing trends.Strong communication skills both verbal and written.Knowledge in the social media landscape is essential. You stay up to date on the latest trends, love editing images and videos using various apps on your phone, enjoy curating a cohesive feed, strive to engage and build your social media following and aspire to be a social media influencer.Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage and meet deadlines.An outgoing personality and a passion for providing exceptional work.Previous experience and a good understanding of Instagram and TikTok analytics is an asset.An interest in marketing & promotion is an asset.Experience in journalism, current affairs globally, political local news Security industryJob Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 16 per weekSalary: $18.50-$20.00 per hourFlexible language requirement:
