This role will be responsible for planning and executing engaging content for social, web and other channels to increase LCVs brand awareness and positioning. Additionally, this role will support in the development of content with current students, alumni, and industry partners. The ideal candidate will have a background in social media marketing, and a passion for driving growth and building relationships in the higher education space. The ideal candidate for LaSalle College Vancouver would be creativity, resourcefulness & have a passion for working with people.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESSocial Media & Community Management

  • Edit, optimize and schedule regular posts through a content calendar to complement marketing and recruitment objectives.
  • Manage the LaSalle College Vancouver community across social platforms, responding to messages and providing concierge like service when managing requests
Content Strategy
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop social media strategies to elevate LaSalle College Vancouvers positioning and align with the brand’s vision and objectives.
  • Developing social and reputation management processes, cataloguing regular questions, and developing responses to drive desired results
  • Develop communications plans for campaigns, events, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Analyse the performance of marketing efforts using Google Analytics (or other tools) and report on website traffic, campaign engagement, cost per lead, conversions, ROI and other key metrics.
Content Creation
  • Collaborate with marketing coordinator and graphic designer to implement and elevate social media strategy while ensuring adherence to brand standards and the production of high-quality content.
  • Participate in the planning of and attend events on-site & off-site to capture image and video of LCV activities to curate content for various channels
Internal & External Communications
  • Develop and maintain relationships with alumni & industry partners for the purpose of content creation and amplification of LCV’s brand reach
  • Develop social collateral kits for student recruitment agencies and other external partners
  • Develop thought leadership material like press releases around exciting LCV events or student/ faculty success stories for internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in the development and coordination of special projects
  • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholder to support implementation of influencer marketing initiatives
DESIRED PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing profile or communication, or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing or Communication or in a similar position
  • Active user with extensive knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Tik Tok, etc.)
  • Familiarity with social media management scheduling tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with database management, Microsoft Office, and social media analytics tools.
  • Passion for driving growth through social media and partnership initiatives, with the ability to collaborate and create synergy in a team environment.
  • Interest in brand marketing, tone of voice and brand values
  • Previous experience working in Higher Education would be an asset
SKILLS
  • Superior organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a range of populations
  • Understand of design for social media and proficiency with Canva or related tools
  • Understanding of content creation using mobile devices for image and video capture
  • Ability to create video content optimized for mobile such as TikTok or Reels content
  • Experience with DSLR or video cameras and video editing skills would be an asset
