The team advises through the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects across Canada and globally, and is recognized in the market as a leading advisor, recognized through local and international awards for innovation.We advise across sectors including transportation (e.g., transit, highways, airports), healthcare, environmental, energy and utilities, resources, schools and municipal facilities, among others. Recent innovative, progressive projects include the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in Vancouver, the New St. Paul’s Hospital, the City of Edmonton’s LRT Network Extension Projects and a confidential carbon capture project to name a few. We work across the spectrum of procurement methods including P3’s, Design-Builds, as well as progressive and collaborative procurement approaches for large scale complex projects. The practice is recognized as a trusted source by public sector departments, ministries and agencies, as well as by private sector market participants, for its expertise throughout a project’s lifecycle.Key team service offerings include:

  • Early stage project development support including development of business cases, feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
  • Undertaking market assessments and market sounding processes
  • Smart / future cities planning, regulatory and policy advisory
  • Project bundling/packaging and procurement options analyses
  • Risk assessments and development of commercial principles
  • Planning and implementation of procurement processes
  • Project and financial structuring for projects, capital raising
  • Independent oversight and operational performance reviews
  • Support with contractual and commercial claims and disputes
  • Contract management optimization and automation
  • Sales and divestitures, re-financings and valuations.

We are also shortlisted again for the 2022 Financial Advisor of the Year at the Americas P3 Awards.Your key responsibilitiesYou will have an integral role that involves working closely with other members of the rapidly growing national Infrastructure Advisory team to execute a variety of engagements related to the planning, development, delivery and operations of major infrastructure projects.Skills and attributes for success
  • Prepare drafts of reports and presentations for client meetings, and communicate complex analyses clearly
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis, including the construction of highly complex financial models
  • Research accounting, tax and financial market information to be used in modelling, scenario analysis and negotiation support
  • Manage and execute on multiple assignments with an exceptional standard of performance
  • Support the strategic planning for and drafting of proposals
  • Collaborate with other team members in identifying and exploring potential new business opportunities
  • Build knowledge of the infrastructure sector and its related capital markets and supply chains
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Staff: 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Analyst: 2+ years of related work experience, with experience in commercial, financial and strategic analysis (financial modelling experience an asset)
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • CPA and/or CFA would be ideal
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian and International Finance and Accounting concepts and principles is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Canadian debt financing and capital markets; and/or global infrastructure and project financing markets
  • Understanding of key business and market drivers as they relate to government and private sector industries
